CLOSE-UP OF THE EQUIPMENT.
A steel churn, filled with water,is inside a steel-lined, iron-bound, wooden box, on a runway leading inside a solid steel 6-cwt cage. FAUST is handcuffed in the water-tank, a lid is slammed over the top of the churn, locked with four padlocks, and the lid fitted over on to the wooden box. This is locked with eight padlocks. The whole equipment is pushed along the runway into the cage, the cage door slammed shut, and locked with three more padlocks. The escape canopy is lowered from the 'flies' to cover the equipment. FAUST escapes in less than 3-minutes, and appears amongst the audience. All the equipment is examined thoroughly before and after the escape.
TRULY, A SENSATIONAL AND DARING ESCAPE.
