GRANVILLE TAYLOR
In this fully-equipped attic workshop, with an adjoining office and memorabilia room, Granville Taylor makes exclusive tricks and illusions for his shows, such as Flowering Rose Bushes for 7, 12, and 21 real roses; an Orange Tree which flowers and then grows six real oranges; a replica of The Great Lyle's Vanishing Gramophone; and a Dog to Duck illusion.

Granville also makes tricks for sale through his TAYLOR-MADE MAGIC catalogue.

THE EVOLUTION OF TAYLOR-MADE MAGIC.
Granville Taylor (Faust the Magician) has been making quality magical equipment, tricks, and illusions, for his own professional use ever since he was "The Boy Magician". He has a fully-equipped attic workshop for working in wood and metal.

All the equipment for his 2-hour Mystery Spectacle, which fills a 40-foot long Container, is stored in a building on a nearby farm. All the smaller tricks, and stage costumes, are kept separately in their individual travel boxes, wardrobe trunks, and cabin trunks.

The limited number of items which Granville makes and sells through TAYLOR-MADE MAGIC, are made with the same care and attention which he puts into making equipment for his own use. Each item is individually crafted, using the finest materials - exterior birch plywood, Brazilian mahogany, 'dural', nickel-silver, or brass. Made to last a lifetime.

THE LATE 'JOHN MARTIN' - The Master Magical Mechanic
The Great Lyle's widow, Lucille, first mentioned the name 'Martin' - (Martinkevitch) - The Master Magical Mechanic - to Granville Taylor, but it wasn't until 1966 that Granville contacted 'Martin' and placed orders with him for some of the extra-special magical equipment which he made. His customers included De Biere, Lyle, Cardini, Frakson,Howard de Courcy etc. Faust uses in his show more than 30 items made by 'Martin', including the Aerial Suspension - the only illusion 'Martin' ever made, the Crystal Clock & Spirit Bell (De Biere's original as featured by Lyle),Rising Cards in both Jumbo and Poker size, The Vanishing Paraffin Lamp, and De Biere's original Vanishing Birdcage. Granville had an appointment with 'Martin' on the 2nd.January 1968. 'Martin' had died in his sleep during the night. The special reel, ready to collect, was on his workbench.

Granville Taylor taught himself how to use a lathe, so that he could make replicas of some of 'Martin's' rare equipment, including the superb billiard ball dropper as used by De Biere and Lyle.
